The Official Opening Ceremony of Thailand’s Projects Funded by the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Special Fund 2024

On 5 April 2024, the Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangkok co-organized the Official Opening Ceremony of Thailand's Project Funded by the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Special Fund on the occasion of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Week (MLC Week) 2024, at the Capella Bangkok Hotel. Approximately 120 participants attended the event on-site, comprising of representatives from the Embassies of MLC member countries in Thailand, ministerial-level proponent agencies and implementing agencies from the public and academic sectors.

​The Ceremony aimed to raise awareness about the concrete cooperation made under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, especially on the occasion of Thailand's co-chairmanship of the MLC during 2024-2025.

​In addition to the Opening Ceremony of the Thailand's projects funded by the MLC Special Fund in 2023, the Award Ceremony was also organised to present awards to outstanding Thailand's projects funded by the MLC Special Fund from 2017-2022, and there was the seminar discussed between the representatives from the award-winning agencies in order to share best practices on their project implementation.
