Eberly Center Hosting Third Annual Toy Drive for UToledo Student Parents

The Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women at The University of Toledo is hosting its third annual Toy Drive benefitting the children of student parents.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov. 1, the campus community can donate new, unopened toys to help UToledo's student parents celebrate the holidays with their children.

New, unopened toys can be dropped off at one of the donation sites on Main or Health Science Campus from Wednesday through Thursday, Nov. 30. A list of suggested donations and donation locations are available on the Toy Drive webpage.

The Holiday Toy Exchange is scheduled from Monday, Dec. 4, through Friday, Dec. 15. Student parents can register for the Holiday Toy Exchange through Sunday, Dec. 3, on the Eberly Center's Toy Drive Registration webpage. There is a Toy Drive volunteer option as well to assist with the pick-up appointments.

"The Toy Drive is an important annual endeavor for the University's student parents that the Eberly Center is proud to support," said Danielle Lutman, associate director for the Eberly Center. "Every year, the Toy Drive grows and every year so many student parents express their gratitude and share their stories of the positive impact the Toy Drive has on them and their families.

"For our third annual Toy Drive," Lutman added, "we're looking to continue the growing momentum and further establish this as an important yearly tradition on our campus."
