A Pageantry of Poetry - April 1

Fairfield Poet Laureate Suzanne Bruce invites the public to A Pageantry of Poetry, a celebration of National Poetry Month on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fairfield Civic Library at 1150 Kentucky Street. Hear poetry from current and past Poets Laureate from Solano County cities: Benicia: Mary Susan Gast, Johanna Ely, Lois Requist, and Tom Stanton; Fairfield: Suzanne Bruce and Juanita Martin; and Vallejo: Genea Brice and D.L. Lang.

There will be an open mic during the second hour. Bring a poem of your own or of a favorite poet to share.

Poets may bring their own books to sell. Ten percent of sales must be donated to Friends of the Library.
