The first carrier to reactivate the connections from next Tuesday will be Wizzair, with some weekly flights to Romania, Moldova and North Macedonia. From 21 June, it will be Ryanair's turn to start with 9 connections to various destinations including Lisbon, Budapest, Manchester and Cagliari and then to Paris, Madrid, Athens, Prague, Warsaw, Valencia, Krakow and Brussels. In addition, both airlines plan to further increase flights to and from the Roman airport in the following weeks.
Aeroporti di Roma ensures in this phase of recovery all the necessary initiatives to make the airport safe and comfortable. Starting from the installation of the thermal scanners at the entrance of the terminal, up to the sanitisation of the entire airport perimeter, both in the internal areas (check-in counters, metal detectors, containers for objects, waiting seats, escalator handrails, toilets, trolleys for the transport of suitcases, luggage) and, as necessary, in the external areas (roads, time parking areas, taxi stalls). In addition, the spaces inside the airport have been remodelled to ensure the social distancing that is indicated by new signs. The information on the service monitors has also been increased, information totems have been added and sanitising gel dispensers and mask dispensers have been installed.
Aeroporti di Roma would like to remind guests that inside the airport of Ciampino, as in all closed premises open to the public, it is obligatory to wear a protective mask and maintain a distance of at least one metre.
