People For the American Way Applauds Latest Round of Judicial Nominations

Washington D.C. -  Following the White House's announcement today of President Biden's forty-eighth slate of federal judicial nominees, People For the American Way President Svante Myrick released the following statement:

"As the clock ticks toward the end of President Biden's first term, it's critical that we fill every remaining open seat on the federal bench with high-quality Biden judges committed to upholding all our rights. We applaud President Biden for this latest slate of seven nominees for federal district courts. Once again the administration is showing its commitment to filling the federal bench with judges who have diverse backgrounds and a range of professional experience. All seven of these nominees are women, four are women of color, and many have experience as public defenders or with nonprofits assisting communities in need. We're urging the Senate to move quickly to confirm these nominees and the White House to lose no time in continuing to nominate outstanding individuals for every available seat on the federal bench."
