Building Skills with YouthBuild Boston

Wentworth Institute of Technology's Workforce Developmentdivision hosted a celebratory luncheon for 17 YouthBuild Bostonstudents. The students recently completed a 12-week YBB Pre-Apprenticeship & Wentworth Career Essentials in the Skilled Trades Certificate (professional non-credit training) program.

The Workforce Development & Professional Education division supports individual learners and organizations to achieve their educational, career, and talent development goals through specialized professional training, licensing, and certification programs. The division is now enrolling for Construction Supervisor License Preparation, Journeyman Electrician, Introduction to Project Management, and Intermediate Project Management.

This program was funded by the Youthworks Grant, which awarded $1.3 million to wentworth this year, supporting Workforce Development, Industry Corp, and Summer Fabprograms.
