Environmental Education Workshop, West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County

This professional development training at Purdue University from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET will equip educators and volunteers to advance environmental education within 4-H programs, schools, and other youth-serving organizations.

Participants will learn how Project WET and Project WILD curricula can support different 4-H projects and explore citizen science tools to engage youth in environmental monitoring. Participants will have opportunities to work through multiple hands-on environmental activities that they can take back to their communities.

The workshop starts at 9:30 a.m. ET in Purdue University's Lilly Hall of Life Sciences, 915 Mitch Daniels Boulevard, West Lafayette, IN 47907

Project WET and Project WILD have developed a rich curriculum of interactive, science-based activities to encourage preschool through high school learners in both formal and non-formal settings to think critically about water in all its forms and act responsibly towards wildlife and natural resources.

Project WET and Project WILD are programs of the DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife and Division of Nature Preserves. The workshop is sponsored by Purdue University Extension.
