Hike with the Mayor on the Jack Harrington Trail this Friday, April 26 at Noon

Move with the Mayor is a national initiative that works with mayors across the country to challenge their communities to be more physically active. Mayors encourage their communities to be physically active to lower their chances of heart disease and its risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Mayor Roach encourages our community to get at least 30 minutes of activity per day.

  • Improved physical health: Regular physical activity improves cardiovascular health, which reduces the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
  • Enhanced social connection: Participating in physical activity with others can help foster social connections while improving mental well-being by reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Stronger communities: By promoting physical activity and community engagement, Move with the Mayor® helps create stronger, more connected communities.

Future Move with the Mayor events include:

Thurs., May 23, 6:30pm - Bocce Fun at Turnure Park and

Sat., June 15, 11am - Storywalk Read Along with the Mayor -Bryant Mamaroneck Park
