Lawn Watering Expands to Three Days Per Week

The City is no longer in a Level 4 Water Shortage as of May 4. Adjusted watering days are determined by your home address.

  • ODD numbered and NO numbered addresses may water on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
  • EVEN numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Even though the City is no longer in a Level 4 Water Shortage, it is adhering to permanent water conservation measures that were adopted to prevent the wasteful use of water.

One example of a permanent water conservation measure is the continued prohibition of watering non-functional turf at commercial, industrial, and institutional properties, including homeowners' associations.

These measures allow for management of the City's potable water supply in the short and long-term future in order to minimize the effects of drought, climate change, and the unreliability of imported water infrastructure that serves the City of Morgan Hill.
