The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation promotes financial education in Italian schools abroad, in cooperation with the Bank of Italy and the Ministry of Education and Merit, through the Inventiamo una banconota contest. Now in its 10th edition, the contest asks pupils from Italian schools at home and abroad to come up with a sketch of an imaginary banknote. This year's theme was "The Great Heat, the Great Cold: Earth's Resources are not infinite".

The winner of the section dedicated to Italian schools abroad is class 5C of the primary school of the Istituto italo-brasiliano biculturale Fondazione Torino in Nova Lima, Brazil, which will receive a prize of €2,500 for the development of educational activities.
