Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4601 Almeda Genoa

August 14, 2023- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4601 Almeda Genoa Road about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (August 13).

The identity of the deceased male, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Castillo, B. Stephens and J. Diaz reported:

The victim got into an argument with a female when an unknown male suspect walked up and shot him. The male was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. During the shooting, a female bystander was also struck in the arm by the gunfire. She was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
