Millennium Leasing employees awarded Gold Medals of the President of the Republic of Poland

Edward Marek Łazarz and Radosław Szcześniak, representatives of Millennium Leasing, were awarded the Gold Medals of the President of the Republic of Poland for Long Service. This distinction is awarded to people who have had a significant impact on the development of the leasing industry, have particularly distinguished themselves in their professional work and social activities.

The award ceremony took place on April 17, 2024, at the end of e-Leasing Day 6.0, an industry conference organised by the Polish Leasing Association (ZPL). This special honour for those who have made a contribution to leasing is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of ZPL. The medals were presented by Robert Sitnik, the first Deputy Governor of the Mazovian Voivodeship and Marcin Balicki, Chairman of the Management Board of Millennium Leasing.

- I would like to congratulate Marek and Radosław on such an exceptional distinction. This is a reason to be proud and satisfied. I am convinced that these awards are well deserved. Marek and Radosław's significant knowledge and experience are a key complement to the competences we have at Millennium Leasing - said Marcin Balicki.

Edward Marek Łazarz has been working at Millennium Leasing since its inception in 1991. For 19 years he was a Member of the Management Board of the company. He participated in building the foundations of the leasing industry - he co-created the structures of the then Bel Leasing company, prepared the first criteria for risk assessment of lease applications, documentation and procedures for leasing agreements. He took part in the founding meetings of ZPL. He is a substantive authority - an invaluable support for managers and employees. Currently, he is the Head of Compliance.

Radosław Szcześniak has been working at Millennium Leasing since 1993. Along with the change of regulations in Poland, he implemented accounting standards and tax regulations as well as the principles of measuring and recording credit risk in leasing activities. He has developed planning and reporting principles in the field of accounting and business performance. He participated in the preparation and handling of securitisation transactions of the lease receivables portfolio carried out by the company. He participated in the work of the ZPL working group on the implementation of the new definition of "default". He took part in the work of the National Working Group in the leasing stream concerning the replacement of WIBOR. Currently, he is the Head of the Finance and Analysis Department.
