SIPRI and UNODA to host AI webinar

On 24 April, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) will host a webinar on 'Addressing the Risk of AI Misuse: What Can the AI Community Learn From Best Practices in Biosafety and Biosecurity?'. The webinar will be co-hosted with the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.

Recent policy developments, including discussions at the UN Security Council and landmark events like the 2023 AI Safety Summit, have underscored the dual-use risks associated with AI advancement. Drawing parallels with the biosafety and biosecurity sector, this webinar seeks to explore lessons and best practices that can inform responsible innovation in AI.

The webinar will be held on 24 April at 15:00-16:30 CEST, online via Zoom.
