The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and Penal Reform International (PRI) have launched the "Green Prisons Research Initiative" a comprehensive project aimed at exploring and promoting sustainable environmental practices within prisons and enhancing rehabilitation opportunities for prisoners, thereby supporting broader social and ecological benefits.
We are seeking experts to contribute their knowledge and experience to this initiative and serve as members of our Expert Working Group.
Please note that this is a voluntary position with no remuneration, but your contribution will be duly acknowledged in the report.

About the Green Prisons Research Initiative
The primary goal of this research initiative is to systematically explore the practices of 'green prisons' that promote environmental sustainability across various regions and countries, with an emphasis on identifying geographical disparities.
