PR No. 202 India and Israel are in competition to top the World in human rights viol

Special Assistance to Prime Minister on human rights and women empowerment has expressed grave concerns over the unceasing human rights violations in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Addressing a Seminar held to express solidarity with the Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine and around the globe over gross human rights violations, Mushaal Mullick said that India and Israel are in competition over which country will top the World in the human rights violations. She resonated alarms over the ongoing Israel's atrocities on the Palestinian people. She lamented the fact that Israel, in violation of all UN resolutions and Geneva Convention, had blockaded the Gaza Strip affecting the flow of food and essential medical supplies to the people who are in dire need of them. She demanded that the United Nations and International community play their role in the settlement of the long outstanding land disputes of Kashmir and Palestine as per the aspirations of the people of the two regions. Special Assistant to Prime Minister also stressed the need for interfaith harmony for establishing durable peace in Pakistan. Talking about Jaranwala incident, Mullick said that all the facts and figures leads to Indian involvement in the incident. She also appreciated the caring gestures shown by the caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar ul Haq Kakar and Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa in the aftermath of the incident. She highlighted the role of interfaith harmony in the progress and prosperity of the country while lauding the efforts of the organizers of the interfaith harmony seminar. She also invited the audience to join the interfaith harmony committees established on district, provincial and national level. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of unjustly jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yasin Malik pleaded the whole nation to pray and raise their voices in concern for the imprisoned Kashmiri leader. The whole machinery of the Indian government is busy conspiring to sentence the beloved son of Kashmir and the most revered leader of the Kashmiri people to death penalty, she added. Mushaal also expressed her deep pleasure over the high attendance of women in the seminar saying that as SAPM for human rights and women empowerment it gives her immense pleasure to see women contributing towards a better and prosperous society through their work in every walk of life. She also commended the students for performing the skit perfectly depicting the unbearable and suffocating lives of Kashmiri and Palestinian people. *-*-*-*-*
