Work Scheduled to Start in January 2024

MARIN COUNTY - Caltrans is scheduled to start a project to repair a damaged pier fender on the Petaluma River Bridge along State Route 37 (SR-37) near Novato in January of 2024. The fender was damaged by a water vessel in June of 2023.

Intermittent lane closures on Eastbound and Westbound SR-37 may be needed. At least one lane will be open for traffic.

Boats traveling underneath the bridge will have to pass through on the west side of the river.

Construction is expected to last about a month. All work is dependent on weather. Caltrans thanks residents for their patience while we work to maintain our state's highways, bridges, and tunnels.
