International conference “The Concept of Common Migration Area of the CIS Member Nations: Common Principles and National Interests”

The international conference "The Concept of Common Migration Area of the CIS Member Nations: Common Principles and National Interests" will be held in the Tavricheskiy Palace - the IPA CIS headquarters. It will open events of the VIII St. Petersburg International Labour Forum.

The conference will discuss the special features of the migration policy of the Commonwealth countries, as well as the main changes, which are planned to be introduced to the Concept of Common Migration Area of the CIS Member Nations.

Theeventwillbring togetherparliamentarians, representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the CIS countries, academicians, politics, representatives of international organizations and experts in the field of migration.

Among the topics of agenda are issues of improvement and harmonization of national legislation in the field of migration of the Commonwealth countries. The conference participants will discuss how to attract high qualified and demanded workforce, create conditions for occupational qualifying pre-immigration training and social infrastructure.

Theconferencewill openthe track "migration process", dedicated to modern trends in this area, analysis of external migration in the CIS and BRICS countries. Within the framework of the forum, the topic will continue with a discussion about the nature of interaction between Russia and India in the modern labour market, a discussion of the transformation of the organised recruitment of foreign citizens and awarding ceremony "The Best Employer of St. Petersburg in the Field of Labour Migration".

The forum is organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the St. Petersburg Government and St. Petersburg State University,CEC ExpoForum, supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social protection of the Russian Federation.
