Participation at the Annual Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Group of 77 and China

On 22 September 2023, on the sidelines of the "High Level Week" of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the 47th Annual Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77 and China.

At the meeting dedicated to the topic "A path for the reform of the international financial architecture", the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his opinion on the problems of developing countries, as well as emphasized the need to provide long-term financing to member states to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Minister Muhriddin also recalled the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, to declare 2025 the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers, including the establishment of the Group of Friends of Glaciers.
