Sanders Declares Disaster Areas from March 14, 2024 Tornadoes and Flooding

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS COME - GREETINGS:

DR 24-03: DECLARING DISASTER AREAS FROM MARCH 14, 2024 TORNADOES AND FLOODING

WHEREAS: On March 14, 2024, severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding struck Arkansas and continue to cause dangers, hardships, and suffering throughout the state, which in turn, warrants this executive action;

WHEREAS: Adverse circumstances have been brought to bear upon citizens and public properties within certain political subdivisions in Arkansas; and

WHEREAS: These political subdivisions require supplemental assistance from the state to recover from these losses.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, acting under the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Arkansas, and pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. §§ 12-75-101, et seq., do hereby declare Columbia, Lafayette, and Union Counties as disaster areas.
