Woman Arrested for Assaulting a Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Officer, Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in an assault investigation.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, at approximately 8:48 p.m., police received a call for an assault in the Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

• a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) was conducting enforcement in the area
• the PEO was in the process of issuing a violation notice
• the accused grabbed the victim's right hand and pushed it away
• the accused fled the scene and returned a short time later

Airina RAHMAN, 44, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1. Assault Peace Officer/Public Officer

She is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2 p.m., in room 202.
