"The issues being faced such as pandemics, climate change, and biodiversity loss require more coordinated efforts among member countries to promote clean, green, and sustainable growth. Besides, in terms of human resources issues, labour mobility within the bloc tends to increase. Therefore, the ASEAN Community will improve labour recognition mechanisms and processes, and promote cooperation training programs to improve qualifications, and skills, and further promote and ensure the rights of migrant workers. This is also one of the important initiatives of the President of Indonesia on strengthening regional cooperation protecting migrant workers that Vietnam strongly supports," Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi emphasized.
At the end of ASCC-30, the Ministers/Heads of Delegation issued a Joint Statement and agreed on the details of the report to submit to the ASEAN Senior Leaders at the 43rd ASEAN Summit to be held from September 4-7, 2023.
