Public Invited to Business and Community Development Forum

Dubuque businesses, residents, and stakeholders are invited to attend a business and community development forum on Tuesday, April 30.

The event will be facilitated by Greater Dubuque Development Corporation staff and will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Northeast Iowa Community College's Town Clock Business Center, 680 Main Street in Dubuque.

Following a brief review of previous Dubuque Developers' Roundtable discussions and efforts, the forum's agenda includes a review of business/economic development process improvements, an update on the City's Design Review Team and follow-up process, and a review of the City's budget and policy development process, including the recently adopted Fiscal Year 2025 budget. The forum will include opportunities for questions and public input.

The April 30 forum is part of an ongoing process to discuss and propose measures to improve the process for development in Dubuque. This forum follows a public input meeting in October 2023 that was preceded by a series of Dubuque Developers' Roundtable meetings attended by local business leaders and developers, economic development officials, and City staff. City staff have implemented a number of changes in response to input collected through these meetings and discussions such as including developers/business community earlier in policy and ordinance discussions.

Attendees are asked to RSVP via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X22MPM6 or by contacting Anna Roling, Executive Assistant for Greater Dubuque Development, at [email protected] or 563-557-9049.
