New members of Permanent Court of Arbitration

Based in The Hague, the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) is an international arbitration organisation established by the Hague conventions of 1899 and 1907. The Court provides arbitration, conciliation, and fact-finding services in disputes between various parties, such as states, private enterprises, and international organisations.

The structure of the Court consists of the following entities:

1) the Administrative Council comprising diplomatic representatives (122 states),

2) a panel of independent potential arbitrators known as the Members of the Court,

3) the PCA's Secretariat-the International Bureau-headed by the Secretary-General, dr hab. Marcin Czepelak.

On 16 May 2024, the following experts were appointed for a term of six years as Members of the Court: dr hab. Beata Gessel-Kalinowska vel Kalisz, prof. dr hab. Cezary Mik, Mr Artur Woźnicki, and prof. dr hab. Anna Wyrozumska. The appointees include eminent scholars and arbitration practitioners.
