Stevenson Road Closure for PA 68 Corridor Improvement Project Begins May 14

Indiana, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing the continuation of a corridor improvement project on PA 68 in Butler and Connoquenessing Townships in Butler County.

May 14 through June 5, 2024, Stevenson Road will be closed for approximately 21 days. The detour to access Stevenson Road from Route 68 will be by Kriess Road. There will be full depth roadway replacement along the eastbound lane and shoulder with work starting before Stevenson Road and proceeding east.

This three-year project includes signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements to enhance safety and reduce congestion along PA 68.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor for this $18.7 million project which is estimated to be completed in November 2025.
