The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Master of Public Health Program Awarded Seven-Year Accreditation

The Master of Public Health program is accredited through July 1, 2031
The Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health has been awarded the full seven-year accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) through July 1, 2031.
The CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools and programs of public health, and seeks to assure quality in public health education and training to achieve excellence in practice, research and service.
"This achievement is the outcome of the incredible efforts of our faculty, staff, students and community advisors to prioritize and improve the future of health for West Texans," said Gerard E. Carrino, Ph.D., MPH, dean of the Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health. "We serve West Texas first and West Texas best."
Carrino also emphasized the importance of programs that are accessible to communities across vast distances of West Texas and beyond, and to students with competing demands.
"Our school continuously strives to improve the health of communities, localities and regions. We are doubling down on delivering accessible education and resources to real-world, busy people where they work, play and live.
