PARAMUS, NJ - Today, U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) donned a UPS uniform to help deliver COVID-19 vaccination supplies, including more syringes and needles, to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.

Gottheimer joined UPS driver Ernie Bankuti on his delivery today - a 2021 UPS Circle of Honor Driver who has driven more than 250,000 miles and 5,350 safe delivery days over his career. He recently celebrated 25 years with UPS and he has delivered more than 1.7 million packages.

During today's delivery, William Mackin was also recognized for his 31 years of safe driving with UPS. He has UPS' 30 Year Circle of Honor Driver Patch, has more than 6,630 days of safe driving, and has delivered 3.2 million packages over his career.

'I want to thank every single person throughout New Jersey who is delivering more vaccines and critical vaccination supplies to help our health systems and families, as we continue to fight this pandemic,' said Congressman Josh Gottheimer. 'It was an honor to join Ernie Bankuti, William Mackin, and all the hard-working UPS personnel today, and to be able to help get more resources out to support North Jersey.'

Thus far, UPS has delivered 100 million vaccines nationwide.
