The job market can feel like an uncharted ocean, especially for those re-entering the workforce. Online applications, resumes, cover letters, and the whole interview process can be overwhelming. As another reminder that libraries are more than just books, Lewiston Library provides patrons access to a multitude of online and virtual resources that can help individuals looking for work jumpstart their careers. Just take a look at what we've got:

  • LearningExpress Library: offers a variety of college entry, high school equivalency, and career test prep for Idaho residents. It also offers resources for young learners, lessons on software and technology, and resources for Spanish speakers.
  • EdX : helps individuals tailor their education from earning certifications to getting a master's degree. Even if they're not a serious student and just want to expand their skill sets, EdX offers casual courses in Spanish, History, Climate Change, etc.
  • Idaho Digital Skills: Idaho Digital Skills offers training with applications and devices necessary for employment in our technological world, including Microsoft Office, web browsing, and smartphones.
  • GCF Learn Free: helps individuals brush up on the work related skills they need in technology, data processing, personal skills like math and finances, or improving reading and writing.

That's just a small handful of the online resources we have.
