Salt Flat, Texas - Guadalupe Mountains National Park will open opportunities for group campsite reservations for the Pine Springs and Dog Canyon group sites on Recreation.gov on July 27, 2021. Visitors will be able to make group site reservations up to 6 months in advance online by this date. This is the first time that Guadalupe Mountains has used an online reservation system for visitors to reserve campsites. The park will be moving toward offering other campsites and backcountry sites later in 2021-2022. These dates have not been determined by the park.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park has three group sites in the park. Group sites #1 and #2 at Pine Springs and a single group campsite is available at Dog Canyon. Group site #1 at Pine Springs is the only group handicapped accessible site offered in the park. Group campsites are limited to a minimum of 10 people per site and have a maximum occupancy of 20 persons. Each group site will accommodate on average no more than five tents per group site. Groups over 20 visitors must obtain a Special Use Permit when visiting the park.

Group campsite fees will be $60.00 per night, per group. Senior Pass fees no longer apply to group site reservations. An entrance fee of $10.00 per adult is also required, unless visitors have an America the Beautiful pass which admits 3 persons, plus the pass holder into the park. Youth 15 and under are free admission. This fee is a separate fee from the group campsite fee and is valid
for up to seven days.
