ANNOUNCEMENT: Governor Radović and Minister Vuković to Attend the IMF and WB Spring Meetings in Washington

The Montenegrin delegation, led by the CBCG Governor, Ms Irena Radović, and the Minister for Finance, Mr Novica Vuković, will travel to Washington DC to attend regular IMF and WB Spring Meetings from 18 to 20 April.

During the Spring Meetings, the Montenegrin delegation will meet with senior representatives of the IMF and the World Bank to discuss current economic, fiscal and monetary policy topics against the backdrop of strengthening Montenegrin public finances and the overall financial system.

The IMF and WB Spring Meetings traditionally bring together world leaders, central bank governors, finance ministers, members of parliament, private sector managers, representatives of civil society organisations and the academic community to discuss the most critical macroeconomic, fiscal and monetary policy issues. Economic growth prospects, poverty eradication, and economic development are some topics the participants of this year's meetings will discuss.

As part of his visit to the United States of America, the Minister of Finance will also meet with US investors and international financial groups. At the same time, the CBCG Governor will participate in a panel of governors organised by the World Bank, where she will present Montenegro's experiences in joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). She will also meet with Piero Cipollone, an ECB's Executive Board member.
