With no classes on Monday, make the most of the long weekend by seeing local theater, catching up on Boston's past Oscar winners, and celebrating Valentine's-and Galentine's-Day. Keep reading for our list of the best options to fill your much-deserved three-day weekend.

The Psych Drama Company's Stage Kiss

The Psych Drama Company is bringing Pulitzer- and Tony-nominated playwright Sarah Ruhl's play Stage Kiss to the Boston Center for the Arts, with a strong BU connection both onstage and offstage. Directed by Rani O'Brien (CFA'23) (who is also set designer and intimacy coordinator), the production has multiple BU grads, including lead actor and artistic director Wendy Lippe (GRS'96), a College of Arts & Sciences clinical assistant professor of psychological and brain sciences. The romantic comedy follows two actors cast as lovers in a 1930s melodrama, their lines onstage and offstage blurring, leading to an unexpected reconnection.

Stage Kiss runs through Friday, February 23, at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Black Box Theatre, 539 Tremont St., Boston. Tickets are $45; purchase here.

The Century Cinema Series: Lights, Camera, Boston!

The Boch Center Wang Theatre opened its doors in 1925 as the Metropolitan Theatre. In honor of its 100th anniversary, the theater is hosting a free community event, featuring four days of films celebrating Boston's role in movie history, including Oscar winners and fan favorites like Good Will Hunting, Legally Blonde, and The Departed. The general admission tickets are free, so arrive early to stake out a good spot.

February 14 to 17, Boch Center Wang Theatre, 270 Tremont St., Boston. See the screening schedule and reserve free tickets here.

Valentine's Day Jewelry Making

Bring your partner, your friends, or even just yourself to create custom jewelry at the Boston Public Market for Valentine's Day. This event, hosted by Oohjacquelina Jewelry, will assist you in creating and customizing your own necklace, earrings, or bracelet. The event is expected to be crowded, so you should arrive early and be prepared to stand to make your jewelry pieces.

Friday, February 14, 3 pm, Boston Public Market, 100 Hanover St., Boston. Admission tickets are free, but are required. It does cost money ($15 and up) to create the pieces.

Anti-Valentine's Day Bash

Not in the mood for roses and romance? Time Out Market has your back. Bring your friends for a night of "anti-romance vibes" and celebrate your independence with a live DJ and themed cocktails for purchase.

Friday, February 14, 7 to 10 pm, Time Out Market Boston, 401 Park Drive, Boston. This event is free, but requires a ticket.

BU Bands Annual Ice Show

You may be going to Agganis this Saturday to cheer on the 2025 men's hockey Beanpot champs (BU!) as they play Providence, but there's another reason. During this game, the BU Band will have its annual performance on the ice, a beloved tradition.

Saturday, February 15, 7 pm, Agganis Arena, 925 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Purchase tickets through the Student Link here or on Ticketmaster.

BassLine's Diversity Showcase Concert

BassLine, Boston University's premiere POC all-gender a cappella group, is hosting a concert this weekend, with special guests the Boston College BEATS and Northeastern University's step team, Stepping on Another Level. This vibrant showcase promises a night of incredible music, performances, and unity among diverse groups.

Saturday, February 15, 7 to 9 pm, Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Tickets are $5 for BU students and $7 for the general public and can be purchased here.

Boston Philharmonic Orchestra Opening Concert

The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra opens its 2025 season at Symphony Hall on Sunday with nine BU students and alums performing in the mix. The concert includes Strauss' Four Last Songs and Mahler's Symphony No. 4 and features the famed English soprano Claire Booth. There is also a pre-show talk with conductor Benjamin Zander at 1:45 pm.

Sunday, February 16, 3 pm, Symphony Hall, 301 Massachusetts Ave., Boston. Tickets start at $35; purchase here.
