Minister Hasani met Alexander Schallenberg: Austria supports Albania’s EU integration process

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, was welcomed by the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg.

The focus of the meeting was the European integration and the ways to further deepening bilateral cooperation in security and economic areas.

Minister Hasani praised Austria's commitment to the development, security and stability of the Western Balkans.

During the second day of the official visit to Vienna, Minister Hasani met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, the Chairwoman of the Albania-Austria Friendship Parliamentary Group, Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic, and the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee, Christoph Matznetter.

The Albanian Chief Diplomat reaffirmed Albania's commitment to working together with the IAEA, especially under the new Country Programme Framework of 2024-2030.

Minister Hasani commended the commitment of the Austrian parliament in strengthening democratic processes in the region and reiterated Albania's support on enhancement of the political dialogue through parliamentary diplomacy.
