TIDEWATER ANNOUNCES 2023 CHARITY GOLF EVENT
DOVER, D.E., May 31, 2023 -- Tidewater Utilities, Inc. (Tidewater) is pleased to announce that its Charity Golf Outing returns to the Heritage Shores Golf Course on Friday, September 22, 2023. In its 15th year, this year's outing benefits the Food Bank of Delaware.
"We are proud to once again name the Food Bank of Delaware as the beneficiary because of the organization's continued commitment and success at addressing long-term solutions to hunger and poverty for Delawareans," said Bruce E. Patrick, Executive-Vice President, Tidewater Utilities, Inc.
"This Annual Charity Golf Outing not only furthers the Food Bank's great cause but allows the community to come together, have fun, and know a great charity will be helping a lot more people because of everyone's participation," added Patrick.
Tidewater has raised over $260,800 for various Delaware non-profit groups through its charity golf outings. "We are grateful to participate again this year," said Food Bank of Delaware President and CEO Cathy Kanefsky. "Our work is not possible without community members who believe in our work and help us raise the needed resources to make sure no neighbor goes without nutritious food in our community. Last year's donation enabled us to provide 103 children with weekend and holiday food for an entire year."
