Jubilee 2025 Coordination Committee meeting

The thirteenth meeting of the Coordination Committee for the Jubilee of 2025 was held at Palazzo Chigi today, chaired by Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alfredo Mantovano. Opening the meeting, Undersecretary of State Mantovano invited the Mayor of Rome and Special Commissioner for the Jubilee 2025, Roberto Gualtieri, to provide an update on the progress of works projects and on implementation of the 'Caput mundi' plan, underlining the importance of keeping to schedule to meet the targets set by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

Items on the agenda included the revision of planned measures and resources for the organisation of hospitality services. In particular, the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers regarding current spending on hospitality services has been finalised and duly registered.

In light of the calendar of events, with indication of those where the Holy Father is expected to be present, suitable areas have been definitively selected as venues based on expected attendance figures. In addition to the Centocelle park and the area of Tor Vergata, the Circo Massimo area has also been chosen to host side events, not including those to be held at St. Peter's.

The meeting was also attended by: Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè; Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli; Minister of University and Research Anna Maria Bernini; Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Economy and Finance Lucia Albano; Undersecretary of State to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Tullio Ferrante; President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca; Prefect of Rome Lamberto Giannini; Pro-Prefect of the Holy See's Dicastery for Evangelization Monsignor Rino Fisichella; Head of the Civil Protection Department Fabrizio Curcio; President of the Chamber of Deputies Culture Commission Federico Mollicone; and Vice President of the Senate Maria Domenica Castellone.
