2,200 kilos of hashish seized in a 'nursery' of drugs in the province of Seville

Joint operation of the Tax Agency and the National Police

• Four people have been arrested in a transaction that has also led to two marijuana plantations, two shotguns and abundant ammunition being involved

11 October 2023 .- The Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency, in a joint operation with the National Police, has seized 2,200 kilos of hashish in a "nursery" located in a district of Las Cabezas de San Juan (Seville), which was logistics point for receiving the drugs that organizations transfer by raising the River Guadalquivir.

Four people have also been arrested for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons.

The investigation began at the beginning of the summer, when the agents were detected suspicious movements near the Guadalquivir, at the height of the municipality of Seville.

As a result of the investigations carried out, several individuals were identified in charge of collecting large consignments of hashish in various areas of river alijo and their subsequent storage in a field house away from the town centre, which made it difficult to investigate the police.

After carrying out the first investigations carried out in September, the criminal organisation's facilities were entered and registered, resulting in the seizure of 2,200 kilos of hashish, two plantations of marijuana with large varieties and two shotguns with abundant ammunition. Similarly, four individuals were arrested.

All the effects that were committed and the people arrested were made available to the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Lebrija, which has directed the investigation, and no new arrests are ruled out.

The operation was carried out by agents of the Seville Operational Unit of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency and of the National Police of Dos Hermanas.
