A new café located within Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, Crediton, will provide visitors with a range of quality food and drink.

The café will open on Wednesday 1 May, and to help celebrate this new exciting combination of health and fitness, local businesses and the local community, a 10% discount will be offered throughout the day.

Dive In Café is the creation of local mother and daughter duo Jo and Gemma, who both share a passion for great coffee and local produce. With over a decade of experience in the café industry between them, they bring a unique blend of creativity and expertise to the venture.

Jo, from Dive In Café, said:

"The Dive In team are looking forward to making a big splash with our quality coffee and selection of local cakes and food. We are an independent café in Lords Meadow Leisure Centre, and we are very excited to be opening soon."

Gemma, from Dive In Café, added:

"We will be serving breakfast, brunch & lunch including jacket potatoes, sandwiches, pastries and cakes. We will be partnering up with Crediton Coffee Company to serve you the very best in locally roasted coffee. Our aim is to use local produce to support our wonderful independent businesses wherever possible."

Recently installed spin bikes and cardio equipment upgrades will also feature during the day allowing visitors the opportunity to try out Mid Devon Leisure's new top of the range equipment.

Councillor David Wulff, Cabinet Member for Community & Leisure, said:

"It will be great to be part of the opening of the new café, and experience for myself what it has to offer. Jo and Gemma have created a space where people can come together, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and feel good about supporting local businesses."Everyone is welcome to dive in and enjoy the convenience of this on-site café whether you've just finished a workout, waiting to collect your children from a swimming lesson or having a catch up with friends."

Dive In Café will be open from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Mid Devon Leisure is also excited to be launching a new health initiative, Health Seekers, on 1 May. It is an exciting new programme of services designed to support more people that want to improve their health and wellbeing without having to come to the gym or attend classes.
