OKC Parks wants to get you and your family moving this weekend

Family Nature Hike

Join OKC Parks on April 6 at 9:30 a.m. for a Family Nature Hike, and get your kids excited about nature at Martin Park Nature Center, 5000 W Memorial Rd. Martin Park's naturalists will lead you on a guided hike where you'll have the opportunity to see and learn about wildlife. This is a free event, and registration ends at midnight on April 5. A parent or guardian must register and attend with their children.

Drop-In Pickleball

It's pickleball time at the Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center, 909 Fredrick Douglass Ave. Saturdays, starting April 6, you can join in the fast-paced racket sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong from 10 a.m. to noon. This program is free with a Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center gold membership and $2 just to drop in and play. All ages are welcome. Call (405) 297-1435 to register.

Body Burn

The Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center, 909 Fredrick Douglass Ave., is hosting Body Burn April 8, 10 and 12 at 7:15 a.m. The 16 and up workout class is a combination of bodyweight and free-weight exercises to help boost your strength and endurance. This high-intensity class will get your heart rate up. The class can be modified to each person's fitness level.
