The Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of theft of motor vehicle.
On 4 May 2024 at about 12.05pm, the Police received a report that a car parked at an open space carpark along Tampines Street 12 was purportedly stolen.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within four hours of the report. The stolen car was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on 6 May 2024 with the offence of theft of a motor vehicle under Section 379A of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
