The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in a Homicide investigation.
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at approximately 6:19 a.m., police responded to a call for Echo-Tiered Response in the Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue area.
It is alleged that:
- there was an altercation between two men in front of a commercial plaza
- one man was stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon during the altercation
- life-saving measures were performed but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Alfonso Corpuz, 67, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
He is scheduled to appear in court at Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 105.
