NRC seeks comments on its ADAMS search engine

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is holding a webinar on May 21 to get public input on how the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System-known as ADAMS-is working for the public.

The database: ADAMS contains more than 4 million public documents and citations, and its current search function has been in place for more than a decade. But the NRC is revamping the database into a modern application called ADAMS Public Search and wants to know what users think.

The webinar will run from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. (EDT). Details about joining the meeting are available in the online meeting notice.

Gathering feedback: Several topics will be discussed during the meeting, including the usefulness of several web-based ADAMS search methods, the application's current approach to displaying available documents in date-specific folders, and the ability to export search results and generate reports.

The NRC is also interested in input on other features that could be useful in a new ADAMS search application.
