In view of the increasing number of tourists visiting the University of Hong Kong (HKU) campus, the University will introduce measures on tourist flow management on campus starting from 1 May 2024.

The management measures aim to preserve an environment conducive to teaching and learning for HKU members and openness to tourists wishing to explore the campus and history of the University.

The measures, including guided tours, will be implemented in phases. Details of the measures will be announced in due course. HKU will closely monitor the effectiveness of the measures and make necessary adjustments, taking into consideration the feedback received from university members and the public.

Arrangements for invited persons, approved service providers, and community users to access HKU will remain unchanged.

HKU is recognised for its enduring and substantial role in fostering community development and partnerships by bridging the gap between town and gown. The University is committed to maintaining an open campus, for members of the public to visit and make best use of its facilities.
