Sunday afternoon, Tampa Police were dispatched to the report of a light-colored sedan that had crashed and was overturned in the waters of the Hillsborough River near the intersection of W. Columbus Drive & N. Riverside Drive. Officers arrived to find an adult male victim, the sole occupant, deceased in the car.

While it is very early in the investigation and detectives are working to determine exactly what led to the crash, it is possible that alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
