Ambassador Balayan participated in the 9th Commemoration of the Yezidi Genocide in Amsterdam
03 August, 2023On 3 August, Ambassador Balayan participated in the 9thCommemoration of the victims of Yezidi Genocide in the Dam Square of Amsterdam and delivered remarks.
The Ambassador noted that Armenia was the first country to recognize the Yezidi genocide and is still standing by our Yezidi brothers and sisters.
In his speech, Tigran Balayan drew parallels between the atrocity that started in Sinjar 9 years ago and the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan taking place in Artsakh now.
The Аmbassador also referred to the agenda of genocide prevention, which is a priority in Armenia's foreign policy, and the initiatives of Armenia on international platforms in that direction.
