New Associate Chief Justice — Coordinator of Justices of the Peace Appointed to the Ontario Court of Justice

The Ontario government is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Associate Chief Justice - Coordinator of Justices of the Peace to the Ontario Court of Justice, effective September 15, 2023.

Justice Jeanine E. LeRoy is the new Associate Chief Justice and is replacing the Honourable Sharon Margaret Nicklas, who was appointed Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice on May 31, 2023.

Justice LeRoy was called to the bar in 1993 and began her legal career as a criminal defence lawyer in London. In 2011, she was appointed a judge of the Ontario Court of Justice and from 2015 to 2019 was the Local Administrative Judge for the London courthouse. In 2019, Justice LeRoy was appointed Regional Senior Judge for the West Region.
