Retention Facility - Queen Elizabeth II Mile and NSW Oaks

Harness Racing New South Wales advises that it will utilise HRNSW Retention Facilities for all horses, including emergencies, entered in the Queen Elizabeth II Mile and the John Gibson Memorial NSW Oaks Final to be conducted at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday 4 May 2024.

Horses entered in those races will be housed within HRNSW Retention Facilities and must be presented at the facilities prior to 12 midday on Thursday 2 May 2024.

All trainers with horses entered for these races will be notified by HRNSW of the requirements for presentation of their respective horses at the retention facilities. Horses will remain under the supervision of HRNSW until released to the raceday stables 2 hours prior to the race.

Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is the controlling body for harness racing in New South Wales with responsibility for commercial and regulatory management of the industry including 27 racing clubs across the State. HRNSW is headed by an industry-appointed Board of Directors and is independent of Government.
