Ittrich to referee | Sky to broadcast | B1 partially closed

Borussia Dortmund will play against 1. FC Union Berlin at a sold-out SIGNAL IDUNA PARK on Saturday. Kick-off is at 15:30 CET. We have compiled all the info on our Bundesliga home game in a compact format below. This page will be updated if there is any news.

Referee: Patrick Ittrich in charge

The 44-year-old Hamburg native will be supported on the sidelines by Thomas Gorniak and Sascha Thielert. Dr. Arne Aarnink will be the fourth official. Bastian Dankert has been appointed as the video referee. Patrick Ittrich oversaw a BVB game for the first time on 14 October 2016 when they drew 1-1 with Hertha BSC. He has since refereed only six games to date: five home wins (most recently against Augsburg in January 2021) and one away defeat (in Hanover in 2017/18).

Tickets: Individual tickets via the "Secondary Market"

SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is sold-out. Ticket holders who cannot make it at short notice can use the BVB Secondary Ticket Market up until two and a half hours before kick-off and thus give other fans the opportunity to come to the stadium. The Secondary Ticket Market will close when the gates open at 13:00 CET. Up until then, there will still be individual tickets occasionally available for members to purchase. 4,000 away fans will travel from Berlin.

Arrival and departure: B1 and station closed

The stretch of railway between Dortmund Hbf and Dortmund-Hörde, where the "Signal Iduna Park" station is located, is still closed due to renovation work, as is the B1 in the direction of Bochum between B236 and Semerteichstraße. More detailed info can be found here.

Live broadcast: Sky & Net Radio

The match can be watched live on TV via Sky. The pre-match coverage starts at 14:00 CET. Presenter Britta Hofmann will oversee the programme. Dietmar Hamann will be by her side on punditry duty. The BVB game can then be watched on Sky Sport Bundesliga 2 and will be commentated by Martin Groß, with Hansi Küpper (picture) the simulcast commentator. The BVB Net Radio will give you the usual Black & Yellow take, with Norbert Dickel and Boris Rupert on the mic. Match highlights plus the press conference and match reactions will be available on BVB TV, among others.

Live ticker: Over to the app

BVB's digital channels operate at full throttle on matchday. And that's not only the case during the match, but throughout the matchday too - starting at 09:09 CET of course. In "Matchday Mode", the BVB app offers news, pictures, posts, videos, statistics and plenty more match info besides. The live ticker starts at kick-off and updates you on all the important moments. In addition to the live ticker, there will be full match highlights, statistics and first-hand info on our social media channels Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The quickest match report in the league can be found on the app and at bvb.de seconds after the final whistle. On our website, there will then be match reactions and facts to read.

Kits: Union to wear white

Borussia Dortmund will line up as per usual for a home game: yellow shirts, black shorts and yellow socks. The visitors from Berlin will take to the field wearing all-white strips.

Weather: Dry, up to 22 degrees

The weather forecast for Saturday: predominantly sunny. The probably of rain is 0%.

Promotion: 19.09% discount

In order to facilitate your journey and admission into SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, we recommend arriving at the stadium early. We would like to reward those early birds with a special promotion: there will be a 19.09% discount on food and drinks at our stadium kiosks up until 90 minutes before kick-off, i.e. 14:00 CET this Saturday. By entering the stadium early, you'll help us to reduce queues at entrance checks and kiosks during peak times.
