SCDOT to temporarily close and detour I-26 Westbound ramp at Exit 91 A in Lexington County

Columbia, S.C. (September 11, 2024)-The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close the I-26 Westbound ramp at Exit 91 A to complete roadwork that is part of the Midlands Connection project. This closure will begin on September 16.

As part of this closure, drivers will exit using Exit 91 B and turn left on Columbia Avenue to go toward Chapin. SCDOT asks that drivers pay attention to signs in the area that will help you navigate the changes. A map of the closure can be found below.

You can plan your route ahead of time by using SCDOT's 511 SC app or by visiting 511sc.org. If you can't avoid the area, SCDOT asks that you use caution and slow down when driving near crews.
