Update on 3000 Jackson Street (Dubuque Malting & Brewing) Deconstruction
The contractor hired by the owner of former Dubuque Malting & Brewing Company complex at 3000 Jackson Street is expected to initiate the process to deconstruct a destabilized portion of the structure the week of April 15-19.
This is the contractor's plan/schedule:
April 15-19: Mobilize office trailer, dust control equipment, support equipment, crawler crane, excavator, loaders etc, assemble equipment and ready for work.
April 22-26: Abate upper windows, begin deconstruction of towers
April 29 and ongoing: Continue deconstruction to completion, cleanup debris and remove from site as needed
City staff have informed the property owner that municipal infractions will be issued each day in which work does not commence as outlined in the plan above.
