Looking for something to watch this Easter weekend?

Whether you're seeking drama, entertainment or family fun, there's something for everyone across TV and BBC iPlayer.

Here's just a selection of the Easter delights...

Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales

Seven well known personalities, of differing faiths and beliefs, take a personal and emotional journey as they tackle a modern-day pilgrimage, this time along the North Wales Pilgrim's Way.

Immersing themselves on this spiritual journey are: wild life presenter Michaela Strachan who places her faith in the natural world; Spencer Matthews, a former 'Made in Chelsea' reality star, who was christened Church of England but is still searching for answers to life's big questions; Sonali Shah, a journalist and TV presenter who grew up in a Jain family; comedian Eshaan Akbar, a lapsed Muslim; Amanda Lovett, a practicing Catholic, who catapulted into the public eye in the first series of Traitors; actor Tom Rosenthal of Friday Night Dinner fame, who is areligious; and TV personality and former model Christine McGuinness, who is spiritual but doesn't practice one particular faith.

Gareth Malone's Easter Passion

Gareth Malone takes eight amateur singers and stages Bach's St John Passion on the 300th anniversary of its first performance, alongside the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC Singers.

All the hard work comes to fruition as performance day arrives, and it is time for Gareth and his eight new singers to put on the performance of a lifetime with a truly unique St John Passion at Cardiff's Hoddinott Hall. Three of Britain's finest soloists also perform - tenor Nicholas Mulroy as the evangelist, soprano and Bach specialist Julia Doyle, and baritone Roderick Williams, who sang at the King's coronation, singing the role of Jesus

Easter Sunday Service

A joyful celebration for Easter Sunday, comes live from the magnificent and historic setting of Canterbury Cathedral, led by the dean, the Very Revd Dr David Monteith. The preacher is the archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby, who shares his Easter message.

With choral music and favourite seasonal hymns, including Jesus Christ Is Risen Today and Thine Be the Glory, sung by the Cathedral Choir and congregation, directed by Dr David Newsholme.

It's followed by Urbi et Orbi, live from St Peter's Square in Rome at 11am. On the eleventh Easter of his pontificate, Pope Francis gives his Easter message and blessing, Urbi et Orbi, to the city and to the world. Petroc Trelawny sets the scene.

Gladiators Grand Final

After ten gruelling weeks competing against the superhuman Gladiators, the final four contenders - Finlay Anderson, Wesley Male, Bronte Jones and Marie-Louise Nicholson - will take to the arena one last time to see who has the will, the skill and the heart to be a winner and walk away Gladiators champion 2024.

This Town

Set in a world of family ties, teenage kicks and the exhilarating music of a generation, Steven Knight's This Town tells the story of a band's formation against a backdrop of violence, capturing how creative genius can emerge from a time of madness.

Both a high octane thriller and a family saga, This Town opens in 1981 at a moment of huge social tensions and unrest. Against this backdrop, it tells the story of a group of young people fighting to choose their own paths in life, and each in need of the second chance that music offers.

Global phenomenon MasterChef is set for a stellar 20th series on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace embark on an exhilarating journey across eight weeks, to discover the UK's best amateur cook, one plate at a time, serving up surprises and extra special occasions along the way.

Family Fun

"Whether that's going on another adventure with a brand new special of the Famous Five, or seeing two new iconic Quentin Blake stories turned into animation, laughing and learning with the CBeebies cast of Twelfth Night, catching up on Dodger's high-speed heist, or listening to Hollywood stars Jack Black and Tom Hardy reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story - we have something here for all families to enjoy together!"

The Famous Five Peril on the Night Train

BBC Children's and Education (byNWR) and Matthew Read (Moonage Pictures) bring Enid Blyton's classics to life with a fresh reimagining of the iconic stories.

The second episode, Peril On The Night Train is a cross-country thriller involving Quentin's invention of a state-of-the-art proto-computer dubbed 'the Algebra Engine'. With war on the horizon, the contraption is critical for the country's counter intelligence efforts and it's a race against time to prevent the machine falling into enemy hands.

Reprising their roles as Aunt Fanny and Uncle Quentin are Ann Akinjirin (Moon Knight) and James Lance (Ted Lasso). They are joined in episode two by Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey) as Mr Roland and Nora Arnezeder (Army of the Dead) as Sabrina Grover.

George is played by Diaana Babnicova, Julian by Elliott Rose, Dick by Kit Rakusen and Anne by Flora Jacoby Richardson.

Quentin Blake's Box of Treasures

Quentin Blake's Box of Treasures is the BBC's landmark animated boxset of hand-picked specials based on six iconic best-selling books by one of Britain's most illustrious and loved authors, Quentin Blake.

Families can enjoy the latest heart-warming stories and whimsical adventures of Snuff and Mrs Armitage on Wheels this Easter weekend.

Simon Pegg (Mission Impossible, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) voices Snuff's Sir Thomas Magpie, the village knight well-known for both his generosity and love of flamboyant hats. Pegg returns to the series, having also starred in Zagazoo, and will feature again in the upcoming Angel Pavement instalment. Alison Steadman (Gavin and Stacey, Here We Go) stars as the voice of inventor extraordinaire Mrs Armitage in Mrs Armitage on Wheels. The entire series is narrated by Adrian Lester (Hustle, Primary Colors, The Day After Tomorrow).

Snuff will air on CBBC and BBC iPlayer on Saturday 30 March, and on BBC One on Sunday 31 March.

Mrs Armitage on Wheels will air on CBBC and BBC iPlayer on Sunday 31 March and BBC One on Monday 1 April.

Dodger: Bad Egg

Set in the world of Oliver Twist before the events of Charles Dickens' classic novel, the hit CBBC comedy-drama Dodger premiered in 2022. Following the show's debut, a further three Dodger specials were released, with last year's Easter treat Dodger: Bad Egg available on BBC iPlayer.

When Dodger and Tom are caught red handed in The National Gallery trying to relieve it of a priceless painted ostrich egg it looks as if the game is finally up. After the heist goes wrong, Dodger is given his harshest punishment yet - school! Sent to the upper crust St Albion's College he must unravel the mystery of a secret society…

Dodger: Bad Egg stars Christopher Eccleston as Fagin, Billy Jenkins as Dodger, Lenny Rush as Morgan and Ellie-May Sheridan as Polly.

CBeebies Twelfth Night

CBeebies is back with another Shakespearean special performed that families can enjoy Twelfth Night this Good Friday. This time, the story is Twelfth Night, performed at the Globe theatre in London.

BAFTA-winning CBeebies presenter Maddie Moate, best known for CBeebies 'Maddie Do You Know?', turns up to Shakespeare's Globe for an interview as a tour guide and bumps into Mr Shakespeare - played by Steven Kynman (Hey Duggee, Go Jetters and Octonauts) - and some of his players. Maddie is brimming with facts and figures because she believes that is what a great tour guide needs, but Mr Shakespeare suggests that there is more to the Globe than dates and facts; it is a magical place that creates all manner of feelings and emotions. He suggests Maddie watch his new play Twelfth Night to see what he means…

Justin Fletcher, known by families across the UK for his energetic performances as Mr Tumble and in Justin's House will also take to the stage as Antonio.

CBeebies Bedtime Stories

CBeebies Bedtime Stories will be making sure that you and your little ones can't wait for bedtime over the bank holiday weekend, with a stellar line-up of readers featuring Jack Black, Joanne Froggatt, Justin Fletcher and Tom Hardy.

Kung Fu Panda star, Jack Black, leads the Easter weekend fun on Friday 29 March with a brilliant reading of 'Pom Pom is Super' written by Sophy Henn. Downton Abbey actress, Joanne Froggatt, will then read 'Like a Girl' by Lori Degman and illustrated by Mara Penny on the Saturday. CBeebies legend, Justin Fletcher, has a bunny-tastic adventure in store for audiences on Easter Sunday (31 March), with a hilarious reading of 'Bunnies In A Boat' by Philip Ardagh and illustrated by Ben Mantle. Then rounding off the weekend, Tom Hardy returns to Bedtime Stories on Monday 1 April reading 'I am a Tiger' written by Karl Newson and illustrated by Ross Collins.

CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on each weekday at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
