Olena Zelenska: Denmark Sets an Important Leadership Example of Support for Ukraine in All Spheres

During her visit to Denmark, First Lady Olena Zelenska met with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

"I would like to express my gratitude to you, the Danish government and parliament for your leadership in strengthening Ukraine's resilience and defense capabilities. We appreciate and are very grateful that this year alone, five members of the Danish government, first of all, you personally, have paid visits to Ukraine," the President's wife noted.

She also thanked Denmark for its leadership in the aircraft coalition, training of Ukrainian personnel for F-16 fighters, support for the Ukrainian Peace Formula, and participation in the recovery of the Mykolaiv region.

The First Lady noted the country's participation in the medical partnership, which was launched at the third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv last year.

"In particular, a partnership has been established between the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital and Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Rigshospitalet for Children, Teens and Expecting Families. Ukrainian doctors have already attended the training at the partner clinic. I am happy that I was able to personally contribute to the creation of this partnership," said Olena Zelenska.

The First Lady also met with Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark. Olena Zelenska congratulated the Royal couple on their succession to the throne and thanked them for their support of our country.

"I highly appreciate the attention of the Danish Royal Family to Ukraine, as well as your compassion and sincere desire to help our country and the Ukrainian people," she emphasized.

The President's wife visited the Ukraine House in Copenhagen, where she met with the chairperson of the institution Nataliia Popovych and representatives of the Ukrainian community in the Kingdom of Denmark.

The First Lady thanked the Ukrainian communities for their humanitarian aid, outreach and social activities.

"I want to emphasize the importance of everything you do. Now is the moment when each contribution is like a puzzle that makes up our defense. When everything is important - from a rally to an exhibition. It is important for the world not to forget that Ukraine is defending not only itself, that the Russian attack is not our private issue. Ukraine is defending everyone," the President's wife emphasized.

Olena Zelenska also spoke with the visitors of the Ukraine House.
