A number of bills presented to Parliament for debate

At the sitting of April 9, the National Assembly debated a number of draft laws in the second reading.

In the second reading, the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Management of Multi-Apartment Buildings and on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Offenses was debated, presented by the Acting First Deputy Chairman of the RA Urban Development Committee Davit Grigoryan.

The systemic reforms on the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Medical Aid and Service to the Population and the package of draft laws authored by the Government will help doctors to improve their practical skills and knowledge year by year.

According to the presentation of the RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, with the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Law on Medicine and the attached package of draft laws, large-scale changes are planned to solve the existing problems in law enforcement practice.

The revised draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Transplantation of Human Organs and (or) Tissues was debated in the second reading, which was presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Health Armen Gasparyan.

The proposed amendments to the constitutional law on the Constitutional Court were debated in the second reading. The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan informed that there were no amendments after the first reading.

A new performance costing system is introduced with the package. It was noted that as a result of introducing the necessary legal foundations, it will be possible to have such a system of enforcement that the citizen will really trust.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the amendments to the RA Tax Code.

According to him, the MPs did not present any proposals from the first to the second reading. The Government made editorial amendments: The law is expected to enter into force on the day following its official publication.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on State Property Management was debated with the attached legislative package, presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan.

According to the rapporteur, after the first reading, the package was revised based on the Government's proposals.

At the proposal of the MP Alkhas Ghazaryan, the package was supplemented with the bills providing for amendments in the constitutional laws on the Constitutional Court and on Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan presented the package of bills authored by the Government on Making Addenda and Amendments to the Constitutional Law Judicial Code of the Republic of Armenia as well.

After the first reading, based on the proposals presented by the members of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the Government made amendments to the package.
